Quick Spiced Salted Cabbage

Cabbage Quick Spiced Salted - A Recipe.


  1. white cabbage 300 gr;
  2. carrots 200g;
  3. onion 3 pcs;
  4. garlic 2-3 cloves;
  5. Table vinegar 9% 1.5 tbsp. l.;

for brine:

  1. water 0.5 l;
  2. Sugar 5 tbsp. l.;
  3. salt 2 tsp.;
  4. allspice peas 15;
  5. bay leaf 3 pcs;
  6. Hot pepper 1 pod.


My cabbage and chop thin straws. We clean, wash and rub carrots on a coarse grater. Onions are cleaned, rinsed with cold water and cut into rings.

We put in layers in a jar: part of the cabbage, so that it covers the bottom of the can, then part of the carrot, so that it completely covers the cabbage layer, then a layer of onions. In the same way lay out the rest of the vegetables.

Garlic peeled, cut into plates, lay out the last layer. Pour vinegar into a jar of vegetables.

Cooking brine: pour water into a saucepan, add salt, sugar, allspice, bay leaf, a pod of bitter pepper. Stir and put on the fire, bring to a boil and let it puff for 1 minute.

Pour the vegetables in a jar with pickle (if you like it hot, put the hot pepper with the pickle in the jar). The pickle should completely cover the vegetables in the jar.

Cover the jar with a lid, leave it at room temperature for 12 hours, and then put in the refrigerator. A day later, cabbage is ready.
